Upcoming District Fence Replacement
The Metro District, in partnership with Fence Consulting Services (FCS), will be replacing District-owned fencing at the locations indicated on the map.
Fence replacement is scheduled to commence:
March 6 through March 20, 2026 (weather permitting)
Fence replacement will take place according the map below where the orange line is present:

Utility Locates
Utility locates are scheduled to be completed approximately one week prior to the fence replacement.
Locate Dates: Between March 5, 2026 and March 9, 2026
Please ensure all gates are unlocked to allow proper access.
Utility location services are provided and scheduled through a third party (811/USIC). These dates are subject to change without notice and are not under the control of Fence Consulting Services.
Homeowner Preparation Requirements
To ensure a smooth installation process, the contractor requires your assistance with the following prior to project commencement:
- Remove all personal property from along the District’s fence line.
- Pull back decorative landscape materials, metal edging, soil build-up, or rock approximately 16–18 inches from the fence line to allow proper access to the base and posts.
- Trim trees and bushes that are against or ingrown into the fence back approximately 12–16 inches to create a safe work zone and prevent future damage.
- Remove or relocate any solid surfaces (such as decks, pavers, flagstone, concrete, metal edging, etc.) installed near the fence, other than original concrete slabs, original lower decks, or original upper walk-out decks.
- Clearly mark any private utility or irrigation lines located near the fence. Public utility locates do not identify private lines. The contractor is not responsible for damage to unmarked private utilities.
Please note: If the above requirements are not completed prior to removal and installation of the new Metro District fence, the contractor will interpret the homeowner’s inaction as approval to proceed.
Construction Process
Fence replacement is labor-intensive and is estimated to take approximately 4–5 days per phase (week) of work. The goal is to begin each section on Monday and complete it by Friday to avoid leaving backyards open over the weekend (weather permitting).
Concrete around newly set posts requires approximately 24 hours to cure. If new posts are installed at your property, please do not shake or otherwise disturb them.
Some materials from the existing fence may remain overnight during the process; however, all construction debris will be removed before the contractor moves to the next phase.
Weather Considerations
Workdays and schedules may be affected by rain or other inclement weather. We appreciate your patience in the event of any weather-related delays.
Pets
Temporary orange safety fencing will be installed at the end of each workday. However, residents with pets should take additional precautions to ensure animals are properly contained during the construction period.
